Four years ago I moved from Chicago back to Lakeland, Florida, where I grew up, in order to concentrate on writing and to enjoy a smaller-town atmosphere. I teach English at a community college and practice law part time. I have a degree in Creative Writing from Columbia College, Chicago. I live surrounded by my muses: foxes, bats, snakes, armadillos, frogs, cranes, squirrels, mosquitoes, and tortoises. I have published poetry in p/m/s (poetry/memoir/story), The Louisville Review, White Pelican, Mudfish 13, The Kerf, Poetry Motel, Neovictorian/Cochlea, George & Mertie's Place, Lonzie's Fried Chicken, The Post-Amerikan, Black Dirt, Emergence, and KotaPress Journal, and in the anthology Poets Against the War, Ed. Sam Hamill (Thunder's Mouth Press 2003); also; a poetry book review and poetry CD review in Rhino; and short stories in Hair Trigger and Emergence. |
