James Cihlar |
James Cihlar has worked in publishing and education for many years. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he earned his BA in English from the University of Iowa, where he studied in the Writers Workshop, and earned his MA and PhD from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point as well as at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. In 2000 he won a Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowship for Poetry. His poems have been published in Prairie Schooner, Minnesota Monthly, Northeast, The James White Review, Wisconsin River Valley Journal, and in the anthology Aunties: 35 Writers Celebrate Their Other Mother, edited by Ingrid Sturgis. He lives in Saintt Paul, Minnesota. |
