Janée J. Baugher |
Janée J. Baugher hails from Seattle and holds a B.S. in Anatomy/Physiology from Boston University and an M.F.A. in Poetry from Eastern Washington University. A former poetry editor for Willow Springs literary magazine and managing editor of two anthologies (In Roads 2000, 2001), today Baugher is an assistant editor for Switched-on Gutenberg. Her poems have appeared in Rattle, Ekphrasis, The Green Tricycle, Whimperbang, and elsewhere and are forthcoming in Switched-on Gutenberg, LitRag, and Heliotrope. She teaches at the University of Washington Experimental College during the academic year and at Interlochen Center for the Arts (Interlochen, Michigan) each summer. In May 2004, a poem of Baugher's was adapted and performed by the dance department at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Baugher has two unpublished collections of ekphrastic poetry, Coordinates of Yes (available through inter-library loan from EWU in Cheney, WA) and Distinguishing Dusk from Dawn; she is currently working on a third. |
